VMware Aria Operations for Logs upgrade to 8.18.5 fails with SDDC Manager BOM mismatch error

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to upgrade VMware Aria Operations for Logs to version 8.18.5 via the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle UI, the upgrade task fails. You may observe the following error message in the request details:

The version of SDDC Manager is greater than the version of the VMware Cloud Foundation BOM maintained by the current version of VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must update the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle appliance to a Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18 Patch 5 with following KB - CSP-102092 Patch Instructions for VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7 and VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.0 Patch 5
