VMware Tools options ( Tools Upgrades & Synchronize time periodically) are not retained when deploying OVF/OVA templates from Content Library

Issue/Introduction

• VM options (Tools Upgrades & Synchronize time periodically) are not retained  while cloning the VM using OVF & OVA Templates from  content library.

Cause

The VmComputeModel does not contain an entity for ToolsConfigInfo; therefore, these parameters are not retained

Resolution

This is a known issue impacting VMware vCenter

Workaround:

Deploy a VM from VM Template in Content Library, as these features ( Tools Upgrades & Synchronize time periodically) are retained during the cloning process
