Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the support requirements for integrating RSA Cloud Authentication Service and RSA Authentication Manager with vCenter Server.

Environment

• vCenter Server 8.x
• vCenter Server 7.x

Resolution

According to the documentation linked below, setting up RSA SecurID Authentication requires the configuration of the RSA Authentication Manager.

Set Up RSA SecurID Authentication

To complete this setup, we require:

1.  agentName as defined in the RSA Authentication Manager.
2.  sdconf.rec configuration file, which is downloaded from the RSA Manager.

Important Note: While these steps cover the on-premises Manager, the supportability and configuration for the RSA Cloud Authentication Service must be validated directly with the RSA team.
