Space Group Creation Failed in Tanzu Hub

Issue/Introduction

Hitting the following error when creating a space group in Hub (10.3.4):

Environment

Tanzu Hub version 10.3.4

Resolution

 

Issue was caused due connectivity/network issue between the Hub and its foundation.

You can check this under Foundations Overview -> Find the foundation -> See Status. 

 

 

See if the foundation's Satus is connected. If NOT connected or intermittently disconnecting.

  • please make sure you provided correct configuration.
  • check network settings that might be disconnecting connections.
  • check for network connectivity between Hub and your foundation's ops manager:
    • From Ops manager vm:
      curl -v https://hub.<system-domain> 
    • From Hub vm: 
      bosh -d <hub-deployment> ssh registry/####

      ping <ops-manager-fqdn>

or try accesing Opsmanager API

If the above steps are not giving you much details, network connectivity might not be causing the issue, Gather the following logs and open a Tanzu Support Ticket:

  • Tanzu Hub support bundle
  • hub-tas-collector logs which you can gather using Ops Manager UI or command
    bosh -d hub-tas-collector-xxxx logs
