ConnectALL user receives "Invalid credentials provided for connecting to the server" error when creating a Jira connection even though password is correct.

Issue/Introduction

I can not successfully create a Jira connection. I am getting an error: Invalid credentials provided for connecting to the server. I verified that I am using the correct password.

Cause

Jira does not accept passwords when accessing data via the API as ConnectALL does. 

Resolution

It will be necessary to create an API token at the following page: https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens 

Then, instead of your Jira password, you'll use that token in the password field in the ConnectALL Connection properties screen.  The username will still be your normal Jira username.
