Issue/Introduction

• During the restoration of SDDC Manager version 4.5.2.0 (build 24720222) from a file based backup, the operation fails due to a version mismatch error, indicating that the target SDDC Manager appliance version is incorrect.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.5.2

Cause

The restore operation failed because the SDDC Manager was missing the required hotfix RPMs for version 4.5.2.0

Resolution

1. Download the SDDC Manager 4.5.2.0 GA OVA from the Broadcom Support Portal. 

• Go to the Broadcom Support Portal > Navigate to "Drivers & Tools" Tab  >  "VMware Cloud Foundation 4.5.2.0 Tools Downloads" > download the SDDC Manager Appliance ova for 4.5.2.0 GA

2. Deploy the SDDC Manager 4.5.2.0 GA OVA (Stage-1)

3. Follow the mentioned steps from the KB 398008 to apply hot fix rpms 

• After applying the hotfix, the SDDC Manager build number should be updated to 24720222

4. Restore the SDDC Manager by following the in doc, Restore SDDC Manager from a File-Based Backup (Stage-2)
