Unable to upgrade Aria Operations 8.18.5 to VCF Operations 9.0 or 9.0.1 from Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to upgrade Aria Operations 8.18.5 to VCF Operations 9.x via LCM the product version to start the upgrade does not get populated in the LCM admin UI

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.5

Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.18.0 Patch 5

Cause

An upgrade from VMware Aria Operations 8.18.5 to VCF 9.0.0.0 or 9.0.1.0 is not permitted.

Resolution

Aria Operations 8.18.5 can only be upgraded to VCF Operations version 9.0.2.

Before Aria Operations 8.18.5 can be upgraded Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager must also be upgraded to 8.18.0 Patch 6. That patch can be downloaded here

If vIDM is also used within the environment then vIDM must also be patched to CSP-102547

After patching to Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.0 Patch 6 the admin UI will now allow Aria Operations 8.18.5 to be upgraded to VCF Operations 9.0.2
