How to remove the old SAML identity providers links that are still displayed in the login page

Issue/Introduction

Old SAML identity providers links are still showing up in the TAS login page when logging on to the Apps Manager.  These old SAML identity providers were previously configured but have been removed or replaced since.

Environment

VMware Tanzu Platform - Cloud Foundry

Cause

The old identity providers are still in UAA even though the TAS settings no longer have them.

Resolution

The old identity-providers are still in UAA. You can confirm if they are, by running the following against the TAS UAA instance:

uaac curl /identity-providers

From the list in the output, get the id of the provider in question. Then, you can run the following to just get info of that provider, given the id:

uaac curl /identity-providers/xxx-yyy-zzz

 

Then, you can delete it by running:

uaac curl /identity-providers/xxx-yyy-zzz -X DELETE

 

After deleting it from UAA, the SAML identity-provider link should no longer appear in the TAS login page.
