Modern UX Report does not display ETC data when using out of the box data provider 'Assignments across Investments' and in Report Designer 'Configure' => 'Table properties' => 'Setup'
=> 'Start Period' is set to 'Current Period'. This occurs when the current period of Task Assignment (week or month) in the Per-Period Metrics is not populated with data.
Even though the subsequent periods of Per-Period Metrics in the Project - Task - Assignment has ETC data.
For example if a month has four weeks in a month, week1, week2, week3, week4.
In Project - Task - Assignment the weeks have the following data:
week1 has zero ETC
week2 has 40 hours ETC
week3 has 40 hours ETC
week4 has 40 hours ETC
Assuming the current period is week 1 then if 'Start Period' is set to 'Current Period' in Report Designer 'Configure' => 'Table properties' => 'Setup'
then Project with it's Assignment ETC does not get displayed in the report.
Data will get displayed only when week1 of Project- Task - Assignment has ETC data entered.
Steps To Reproduce:
1. Create a Project with duration: 1 Jan 2026 - 31 Dec 2026, Create a Task and assignment a labor resource.
2. In the Task - Assignment page, set a monthly Per-Period Metrics and populate ETC for each month except for Jan 2026 have zero ETC
3. Create a Report designer using out of the box data provider - 'Assignments across Investments'.
4. Using Table widget, add columns - Investment name, Task name, Resource Full Name, Per-Period Metrics for ETC
5. In Report Designer 'Configure' => 'Table properties' => 'Setup' set the 'Start Period' to 'Current Period' then Publish report.
6. In Report Designer 'Configure' => 'Table properties' => 'Filter', set 'Resource' = 'Current User'
7. Run 'Load Data Warehouse Access Rights' and 'Load Data Warehouse'
8. Click to open the Published report
Expected: Report display project with ETC data
Actual: No data gets displayed in the report
