Due to an unfortunate event, the Linux host that our DEV ConnectALL 4.0 installation was hosted on has been decommissioned and is irrecoverable.
The database is intact, as are backups of it. We also have backups of the below, as per previous documented recommendations from Broadcom. We do not have a complete backup of the ConnectALL installation itself.
Can we restore the previous installation without ConnectALL.properties or the .jks files?
Also, we need to install ConnectALL 4.0 on a new Linux host now. From memory, ConnectALL will not install unless it has an empty database to connect to. Can we install ConnectALL to an existing database, without breaking/overwriting the database content during install? For example, could we choose "upgrade" even for 4.0 to 4.0?
4.x
Yes, it is possible to fully restore ConnectALL with only database backup from 3.5 version onwards as majority of ConnectALL configuration is now stored in database.
Please reach out to ConnectALL support to discuss about the current status of your environment and get recommendation on the approach to be followed.
