The installer fails when it cannot find or read the component registry in $AUTOSYS/globalVars. This commonly occurs when EEM or SSA (Shared Components) were installed independently of the main AutoSys installer.
AutoSys 24.1
WebUI 24.1
EmbeddedEntitlementsManager 12.7.x
To bypass this error and allow the WCC installation to proceed on a host with a pre-existing EEM instance, you must manually create the global variables file that the installer expects.
Navigate to the directory: /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/autosys/ (Create the directory path if it does not exist).
Create/Edit the file: globalVars
Insert the following content:
#Mon Jul 28 17:06:54 UTC 2025
CurrentVersion=24.1.00.00
IA_AE_INSTALLED_AGENT=0
IA_AE_INSTALLED_APPLICATIONSERVER=0
IA_AE_INSTALLED_CLIENT=0

IA_AE_INSTALLED_WCC_COLLECTOR=0
IA_AE_IS_FIPS_ENABLED=0
INSTALL_TIME=28/07/2025 13\:23\:58
Note: Ensure
IA_AE_INSTALLED_EEM=1is set so the installer recognizes the existing EEM installation. If you have Shared Components (SSA) installed, ensureIA_AE_INSTALLED_SSA=1is also set.
