Issue/Introduction

A  job that issues the CA 7 FORECAST command is not picking up jobs that run on the system.  The FORECAST command was issued and jobs expected to be in the output were not included in the time span entered.  The command issued is - FJOB,FROM=(HHMM,HHMM),TO=(HHMM,HHMM)

Resolution

To determine why a job is not on the FORECAST command output, issue the following command:

LRLOG,JOB=JOBNAME,DATE=*

This command will show when the job ran and the mode of entry into the CA 7 Scheduler.  The output will look like this:

 EVENT       OBJECT                          ENTRY TRGR                   LATE
TYPE  TIME   TYPE NAME  CA7# SCH SYSTEM  STATUS MODE CA7#   START      END

 C 26017/0930 J TXXXXXX 7219 001 TBS      COMP  DEMD 0000 26017/0930 26017/0930
 C 26018/0930 J TXXXXXX 9146 001 TBS      COMP  DEMD 0000 26018/0930 26018/0930
 C 26019/0930 J TXXXXXX 1059 001 TBS      COMP  DEMD 0000 26019/0930 26019/0930

 C 26021/0930 J TXXXXXX 2508 001 TBS      COMP  DEMD 0000 26021/0930 26021/0930

This display shows jobs that were demanded into the scheduler - the MODE column contains DEMD.  Jobs that are demanded in will not be visible in the FORECAST command output.  Jobs that are triggered or scheduled will appear in the FORECAST output.
