Issue/Introduction

This communication is to inform everyone about an upcoming change regarding Java Development Kit (JDK) support in future releases of Symantec Advanced Authentication (AA).

JDK 1.8 Deprecation Update

Starting Mid February 2026 tentatively, with the release of AA version 9.1.5.2, we will discontinue support for JDK 1.8.

To maintain support and access to future features, customers must migrate to JDK 11 or JDK 17.

Note: AA versions 9.1.5 and 9.1.5.1 will continue to be supported with the existing JDK 1.8.

We recommend planning your environment upgrades accordingly to ensure a smooth transition and continued compatibility with upcoming AA releases.

Additional details and guidance will be provided in the respective release notes.

If anyone has any questions or needs assistance with this transition, please feel free to reach out to our support team.
