Issue/Introduction
Introduction:
Having gone to the trouble of creating OS and Boot Images on a Manager it will save a lot of time if these same images can be exported to allow them to be implemented on other Managers. This document describes the procedure required.
Instructions:
If you have not already done so register the image into the Software Delivery Library as a package.
<Please see attached file for image>
Locate and export this package from the library as a "software package"
<Please see attached file for image>
Note: it is essential to export as a package and not a Library Image
Copy the exported package to the new Manager
Use the relevant "register XX Image" Wizard to import the image to the new Manager depending on if you are importing an OS or boot Image.
Select the "Register exported XX Image from folder" option
select the root folder of the exported image
<Please see attached file for image>
Complete the wizard making selections according to your needs.
Once the wizard completes the image is now registered in both the "Boot and OS Image Library" and the "Image Prepare System \ local image store"
<Please see attached file for image>
Additional Information:
You must have the Image Prepare System installed on both Managers.
If the new Manager is a newer version you must upgrade the images as per:
