VMware vSAN 8.x
On the impacted VMs, the iSCSI initator fails to respond to a NOP-OUT PDU from the vSAN iSCSI target within the timeout period. As a result the iSCSI target closes the connection.
In this case, ESXI /var/log/vmkernel.log will report an error similar to:vmkwarning: cpu31:2103576)WARNING: <VM guest IP> (<VM guest iSCSI initiastor iqn): no ping reply (NOP-Out) after 5 seconds; dropping connection
