Issue/Introduction

Question:

What is the difference between Identity Manager and IdentityMinder?

 

Answer:

Identity Minder and Idenity Manager are the same products. The names were changed a few times, primarly to align with other CA product naming conventions. 

First, it was Identity Minder, then changed to Identity Manager for IDM 8.x.

Then it was changed to 'Minder' again to re-align with SiteMinder, GovernanceMinder and others. Then it was changed back to Identity Manager. 

Just about everyone uses the names interchangeably, though the official name for recent 12.6.x versions is Identity Manager.
