Issue/Introduction

There are times when primary to secondary SpectroSERVER SS communication alarms generate at random or they may generate during an OLB - Online Backup

Request to Landscape model ( name - <SS HOSTNAME>, type - Landscape ) failed because of SpectroSERVER unreachable.

Resolution

This is tentatively scheduled to be fixed in NetOps 25.4.5 once released.

The $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file on the secondary SS will need these parameters:

is_secondary=true
secondary_polling=no
detect_secondary_connection_status=true
fix_secondarySS_status=true
delete_sec_startup_events=true

Once you have added them you will need to stop and restart the SpectroSERVER process
