• Need procedure / steps to take vm and volume snapshot from VIO openstack UI.

Cause

A snapshot is a point-in-time capture of a virtual machine's (VM) state, including its disk data, configuration, and sometimes memory, saved as a new image or volume copy for backup.

• Create an instance snapshot
• Create a snapshot from a volume

Note:  Make sure the instance is shutdown prior to taking either snapshot so that the filesystem is quiesced before taking the snapshot.
