Issue/Introduction

VMware Cloud Director 10.6 supports the creation of vApp snapshots, but the "Revert to Current" and "Remove All" options are selectable (not grayed out) even for a vApp that does not have a vApp snapshot.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.0

Cause

This issue occurs when individual virtual machines within the vApp have their own snapshots. In such cases, the UI incorrectly enables the snapshot management options for the parent vApp.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1.

In version 10.6.1 and later, "Revert to Current" and "Remove All" are correctly disabled (grayed out) when the vApp does not have a vApp snapshot.

In prior versions, if these tasks are executed on a vApp that does not have a vApp snapshot, the following results occur:

"Revert to Current": The task will fail.

"Remove All": The task will complete with a "Success" status, however the snapshots on the individual virtual machines within the vApp are not removed and remain on the disk.
