Issue/Introduction

ESXi disconnects from vCenter Server due to "The license has expired." However, license of ESXi is valid

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

Cause

This could happen because of expired vCenter Server license. To manage ESXi host from vCenter Server, licenses of both ESXi and vCenter Server should be valid.

Resolution

Apply valid license to vCenter Server as well.
