Issue/Introduction

Aria Operations for Logs is configured to archive data to an NFS location however you are receiving following admin alert from Aria Operations for Logs as below:

Archive Failure triggered at YYYY-MM-DD T HH:MM:SS.###z

Action is required. VMware Aria Operations for Logs failed to connect to the archive storage: nfs://<nfs IP>/<folder>. Data might not be able to archive. This
could indicate that the archiving destination is unavailable or having performance issues. If this problem is not resolved, the disk on your VMware Aria Operations for Logs
installation will fill up and stop accepting data. Other unexpected issues may also occur. Please check the status of the archive destination.

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

NFS Archive location is not reachable from Aria Operations for Logs appliance(s).

Resolution

Ensure that Aria Operations for Logs appliances are allowed to perform Read/Write Operations in NFS destination.

To verify the same, you can try mounting the NFS to Aria Operations for Logs nodes using following steps:

mkdir /tmp/mount

mount -t nfs <IP address of NFS>:/<Folder> /tmp/mount
