Issue/Introduction

• You have an HCX Site pairing with HCX Cloud (Hyperscalers) using VCPP license, and you have created the Service Mesh.
• From the HCX Connector (source), the following banner is displayed: "HCX functionality is restricted. Review the expired licenses to continue using HCX services.".
• When trying to perform an HCX migration, the UI displays the following:
  • vMotion (not licensed)
  • Bulk Migration (not licensed)
  • HCX Assisted vMotion (not licensed)
  • Replication-assisted vMotion (not licensed)
  • Cold Migration (not licensed)
• HCX Connector/source are not gathering the feature inheritance from its paired HCX Cloud Manager (VCPP license).

Cause

This is an expected behavior as VCPP/Activation keys used for the Cloud Manager do not support service inheritance for site paired connector system, as this functionality is limited to NSX or VCF-based keys.
