Question:
Many sites have asked if CA Endevor Supports a "Pass-Phrase" versus just a "Password" for Security Access. CA Endevor is using RACF, for Security Package on the LPARs where ENDEVOR runs. Currently, our site uses "Passwords" for security access through RACF and TSO with the passwords required to be 8 characters in order to access ENDEVOR. "Pass-Phrase" is at least defined as having 14-100 characters to be valid. So, the question is: Does CA-ENDEVOR support a "Pass-Phrase" for security access when using RACF for Security?
Answer:
CA Endevor and QuickEdit do not use passwords. They rely on RACF to authenticate the user. The distributed products (CMEW - Change Manager Enterprise Workbench and the Eclipse UI) do use passwords and will be impacted.
