Issue/Introduction

This article provides information about cluster alert notifications and global alert email notifications failure of VMware DSM(Data Services Manager).

It happens after an upgrade of VMware Data Services Manager(DSM) from version 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 to version 9.0. If the DirectoryService is configured in source version, then the following alert notification problems occur:

  • VMware Data Services Manager does not trigger cluster alert notifications for clusters created by LDAP users.
  • VMware Data Services Manager does not send global alert email notifications.

VMware Data Services Manager 9.0

Resolution

It is resolved in VMware Data Services Manager 9.0.1 version.
