Creating an asset search for an ITAM family

Issue/Introduction
We have an existing Asset Search and need to have a new one but for a different ITAM family. Is this possible?
Environment
ITAM 17.4
Resolution
It is possible to copy and modify this copy of an Asset Search. However, the modification of the copy is restricted to the Search Criteria only, and it's not possible to modify the Asset Family of an existing Asset Search.
You need to create a new Asset Search, using the one you wanted to copy as an example.
To create the new Asset Search, please follow the steps below in your TEST environment:
1. Log in as an admin user
2. Go to Asset | New Search | In the Popup window, check the family | scroll down to the bottom and click on "Set Selected Asset Families"
3. Now ITAM allows you to check the attributes that will be shown.
4. Add the attributes and click OK after checking each attribute required (listed in the existing asset search you are taking as an example)
5. Click "OFF" next to "Configure search".
6. Set a name in the Title text box | Category = Asset | Set a Description if required
Expand "Search Security" | Select New | Add the role that you need to have access to this search
Expand "Additional Settings" and ensure that "Allow Selection Results" is checked
7. Save
8. Ensure you see Assets under "Search Results".
9. Log in as a contact with the role you set under "Search Security" to confirm they can see the search and get the results.
