HCX Site pairing is missing from the target site post adding the site pairing

Issue/Introduction

• You have removed the existing site pairing, and the site pairing information was successfully removed from the HCX UI.
• Re-adding the same site pairing also completes successfully, however, after some period, the site pairing information is not visible in one of the sites.

Cause

This is a race condition where a new pairing is triggered before all the tasks complete. When a manual request to delete the existing site pairing is triggered, it also creates a background task to delete and perform additional cleanup. When the new site pairing is created, this background task has not yet completed; once that task completes, it also removes the new site pairing information.
