Issue/Introduction

If Budget Units have been entered on the project grid before a Detailed Cost plan has been created, these can not be removed afterwards. The projects with no Budget Plan will show budget units, if those were entered prior to the Cost Plan creation

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Go to MUX > Projects grid > Add Budget Units and Planned Units Per-Period metrics and Totals to the grid
  2. Create a project and financially enable it.
  3. On the grid add a value to Budget Units and Planned Units
  4. Data is saved
  5. Remove the values and those are removed
  6. Add a value to Budget Units
  7. Go into the project, create a cost plan and add some Planned Units on the cost plan
  8. Go back to the grid
  9. You now see the Budget Units you added on the grid and also the Planned Units you added on the Cost Plan
  10. Try to remove the Budget Units from the grid

Expected results: The Budget Units to be removed
Actual results: Error: Financial attributes cannot be modified when Cost Plans or Budget Plans exist.

This is currently under investigation

Additional Information

The Budget Units will be updated accordingly if we submit the Cost Plan for approval and approve it. But if there are projects that do not have budget and do not expect to have a budget if data weas entered on the projects prior to creating detail plans, then we will not have a supported way to clean the erroneous Budget Units
As there is no Detailed Budget Plan we should be able to remove the Budget Units 
OR
When the Detailed Cost Plan is created the Budget Units should be removed
