Issue/Introduction

A specific VM could not be storage vMotion to another datastore as it fails with an error that cannot migrate in current configuration. also shows as not compatible.

Environment

Migrating VM's to a new Datastore. No Shared Storage  managed by vCenter.

Esxi 8.0

vCenter : 8.0

Cause

VM config has the CD ROM attached and an ISO loaded.

Resolution

Removed the CD ROM attached and was able to migrate the VM to another available datastore by choosing both Compute and storage vMotion as there is no shared Datastore.

It also shows the Compatible status as compatible when both Compute and storage vMotion is selected.
