VMware Avi Load Balancer

Issue/Introduction

  • The “Use Performance Limits” checkbox under the Quality-of-Service section in the Virtual Service (VS) configuration remains enabled even after the user unchecks it and saves the configuration via the UI.

Environment

  • Avi Load Balancer
  • Affected Version: 31.1.X ,31.2.X

Cause

  • This issue is caused by a UI bug, where the configuration change made through the user interface is not properly persisted. As a result, even after unchecking the option and saving the settings, the UI continues to display it as enabled.

Resolution

Temporary Workaround:

  • The setting can be successfully disabled using the CLI. Once configured via controller shell, the checkbox remains unchecked in the UI as expected.
> configure virtualservice <vs-name>
 no connections_rate_limit
 no requests_rate_limit
 save

Permanent Fix:

  • The issue is scheduled to be fixed in version 32.1.1.
