Issue/Introduction

Remote LSERV not connecting to Host LSERV, issuing message  'LDM0653E No host system active - retry scheduled'

Host LSERV issues message 'LDM0854I Route established between <Host> and <Remote>.

Remote LSERV does not issue LDM0854I, no communication established between Host and Remote LSERVs

Component: LSERV

Cause

Subsystem Name (SSN) in Remote LSERV is different to SSN in Host LSERV.

Communication between the Host and Remote LSERVs unable to be established.

Resolution

Ensure that Subsystem Name (SSN) coded in Remote LSERV is the same as SSN coded in Host LSERV. See example below:

HOST
//LSERV    PROC  PLIB='cai.xx.CAW0OPTN',                      
//             JCL='cai.xx.CAW0OPTN',              
//             SSN=ABCD

REMOTE
//LSERV    PROC  PLIB='cai.xx.CAW0OPTN',                      
//             JCL='cai.xx.CAW0OPTN',              
//             SSN=ABCD
