Host Profile Options Greyed Out on Cluster and Host Level

Issue/Introduction

When trying to make changes to a host profile on either the cluster or host, an error message is reported in the cluster: "Host settings are managed at cluster level. Host profiles cannot be attached to the cluster or any of its hosts"

Environment

vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

Desired State is configured on the environment and does not allow for the use of host profiles:

Resolution

If the need is to utilize Host Profiles, create a new cluster and migrate hosts to it, but do not select Manage configuration at the cluster level.
