Issue/Introduction

You are prepping to install DLP 25.1 on RHEL9 and you notice a select set of RPM's end with ".el8".

What does this mean? Also, can you install them on RHEL 9?

Environment

DLP 25.1

RHEL 9

Cause

The RPM's were compiled on RHEL8 and the tools added the ".el8" during compile time

Resolution

You can install the 25.1 RPM's on supported versions of RHEL 9
