Issue/Introduction

Problem:

CA Datacom/AD Version 15.0 SMP/e APPLY job SAMPJCL(AAX4APP) will fail with GIM30206E due to recent PTF ERROR HOLDs. 

Environment:

z/OS

Cause: 

Error holds were placed on some FMIDs which now have resolving fixer PTFs.

Resolution:

To get past the errors in the APPLY job AAX4APP so you can continue to complete the base installation, modify the SAMPJCL(AAX4APP) to use BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM,HOLDERROR(reason-id1,reason-idn)) or use the more generic BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM,HOLDERROR).

The SMP/e base ACCEPT job AAX4ACC will also require the same BYPASS for HOLDERROR to be added.

As of this writing (May 2, 2016), there are 5 fixer PTFs that address the HOLDERRORs.

These can be applied after the ACCEPT (job AAX4ACC) of the base product:

RO87861 RO89518 RO88293 RO88813 RO89276

Additional Information:

CA Chorus Mainframe Software Manager (CA CSM) installation of CA Datacom/AD Version 15.0 will succeed with status of “Succeeded with warnings” due to the HOLDERRORs. After the install via CA CSM, continue to apply maintenance including the noted fixer PTFs.
