Issue/Introduction

Customers often have questions about whether journaling emails should be configured to route through Email Security.cloud.

Environment

Email Security.cloud

Resolution

Email Security.cloud does not require journaling to be configured, and routing journaled emails through the Email Security service is not recommended.

Journaled emails should be sent directly from Microsoft 365 to the archive store.

Customers can work with the Microsoft team to create the necessary connectors and transport rules to ensure these journaled emails are delivered directly to their intended destination.
