Guest Inter-VLAN Routing configuration is lost after VM power off/crashed.

Issue/Introduction

• You have configured NSX Guest Inter-VLAN Routing - Configure Guest Inter-VLAN Routing, andthe  VM was managed by the VCD. 
• The configuration is lost after the Virtual Machine is crashed or powered off and powered on event.
• The following reconfiguration task was observed in the ESXi /var/run/log/hostd.log, issued by the VCD user.

• During vm power off, nsxa received a request to detach port for vif, observed in the ESXi /var/run/log/nsx-syslog.log

Cause

VMware Cloud Director monitors vCenter Server for state changes on managed Virtual Machines. When a VCD-managed VM undergoes a state change in vCenter (such as being powered off and started), VCD detects this event and initiates a reconfigure task to synchronize the VM's state. This reconfiguration task creates a new VIF UUID, making the existing Guest Inter-VLAN Routing configuration obsolete. 

Resolution

This behavior is expected, and VMware Cloud Director initiates this reconfigure task to ensure resilience and maintain accurate synchronization with the vCenter Server state.

• Create Guest Inter-VLAN Routing using the new VIF UUID.
