Issue/Introduction
A S502 abend is occurring in the GSSA started task. How can this be addressed?
Environment
Release: 11.0
Cause
The S502 abend is caused by the EVENTS table running out of slots.
Resolution
To address the S502 abend, increase the EVENTS value in the RUNPARM to 5000. The default is 1000. The reason this problem is occurring randomly is that the workload alters and every so often the events table is short and the S502 abend is issued.
