SOI Service Desk Axis protocol deprecation

Issue/Introduction

Currently, SOI uses web services via the Axis protocol to send alert notifications to the Service Desk.  However, Service Desk is soon to deprecate Axis as a web service and use CXF (from CA SDM ver 17.4.5)

Environment

 

PreReq - SOI 4.3 CU2 

Resolution

To Support CASDM 17.4.5 (CXF migration)

1. Backup SOI Directory

2. Download the zip from this article and extract it under the SOI installation directory, and place it under the SOI directory
3. Run the patch_script.cmd file from the command prompt 

It will delete jars that need to be deleted and add jars that need to be copied to the installation path 

4. Run this same patch_script.cmd for all installed machines of the SOI distributed environment.
5. Restart the services (check SOI document)
6. Test and save the Service desk configuration again. Then restart the SAMUI and Manager service
7. Validate by creating a ticket in the SOI Console
