Error while configuring VCF Operations Source Control with Gitlab

Issue/Introduction

• Attempting to configure a Source Control endpoint in the VCF Operations UI (Administration >> Control Panel >> Source Control) fails with the following error:
  
  Http failure response for https://<Ops_FQDN>/vcf-operations/plug/ops-lcm/lcm/cms/api/v1/endpoints/test: 400 OK
  
  
  
  
• Connectivity from VCF Operations to the Source Control endpoint on port 443 has been verified.
• The Access Token and Repository/Branch structure is correct as per Configuring Source Control in VCF Operations
• Source Control endpoint is Gitlab 17.7 or above.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.x

Gitlab 17.7 and above

Cause

A change in the Gitlab API (version 17.7 and above) is not currently compatible with VCF Operations.

Resolution

Workaround:

Use a version of Gitlab 17.6 or below.

Note:

Engineering are aware of the issue and the incompatibility will be resolved in an upcoming release of VCF Operations.
