Issue/Introduction

  • VMware Cloud Foundation Installer adds existing VCF Operations failed with error 'InternalServerError'.
  • The Installer log /var/log/vmware/vcf/domainmanager/domainmanager.log shows the error:

    caused by javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: Certificate for <Operations-FQDN> doesn't match any of the subject alternative name : [localhost]

  • The VCF Operations uses default self sign certificate.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0

Resolution

To resolve the issue, create and install a new certificate which contains the FQDN of VCF Operations in SAN. See Configure a Certificate For Use With VCF Operations

Additional Information

In the Configure a Certificate For Use With VCF Operations generate certificate may be failed due to invalid v3_req from configuration file. Use the content format of step 5 in Replacing SDDC certificates with VMCA
