Issue/Introduction

After migrating Information Centric Analytics (ICA) to new servers, the following error is logged during the Risk Fabric cube processing step of the nightly RiskFabric Processing job:

<Error ErrorCode="3239313412" Description="Errors in the metadata manager. Either the dimension with the ID of 'DIM Incident Custom Attribute' does not exist in the database with the ID of 'RiskFabric',
or the user does not have permissions to access the object." Source="Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Analysis Services" HelpFile="" /></Messages></root></results></return>.  The step failed.

NOTE: The dimension identified in the error message may differ from the provided example.

This error may also occur when running the job steps Process DIM Measures and Dimensions and Process Event Scenario Measures and Dimensions of the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job.

Environment

Release : 6.x

Component : RiskFabric Processing, RiskFabric Intraday Processing

Cause

This condition is caused by the job step pointing to the former Analysis Services server.

Resolution

To correct this issue, edit the Server setting in the following job steps to point to the new Analysis Services server:

  • RiskFabric Processing
    • Risk Fabric cube processing
  • RiskFabric Intraday Processing
    • Process DIM Measures and Dimensions

NOTE: beginning with version 6.7, this step is handled by the TaskRunner executable on the database server. Ensure the correct server name is specified in the connection string of the TaskRunner.exe.config file.

    • Process Event Scenario Measures and Dimensions
