Resolution

In the main menu, under Intents > Manage Intents, you can click on the edit button next to Application Flow Utilization to review and/or edit the Intent definition.

You can see in the screenshot below that the Conditions for which an Alert is raised is based on standard deviations from past behavior. You can modify the values for the Intent, however, you should be aware that this will change the definition for all Applications.

  • Condition for this intent is based on standard deviations from past behavior.

    • Medium (2.5 Standard Deviations) is the default value
    • High (2 Standard Deviations), which will trigger the Alert within a narrower window
    • Low (3 standard deviations) which will trigger the Alert within a wider window

  • Minimum Violation Duration can be adjusted from the default of 5 mins to allow the Condition to occur for a longer period of time before an Alert is triggered

  • Add Exception can be used to exclude specific Applications from this Intent, so no Alerts will occur for the specific Application
