Issue/Introduction

Capacity calculation show demand for CPU, memory, or disk running out even though recent data suggests otherwise.

Recent trends aren't taken into account for capacity calculation.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

Reset the capacity calculation by removing historical data:

  1. Log into the UI and navigate to the cluster object.
  2. Click on the Capacity tab.
  3. Under Time Remaining click on the RESET button.
  4. Set the starting date you want to change from when historical utilization is calculated and click Restart Calculation.

Note: If there has been high variability in the cluster's utilization of CPU, Memory, or Disk (whichever the cluster is most constrained by), select a starting data after those trends.
