Issue/Introduction

Problem: 

When using the CA InterTest for CICS r 8.5 or R 9.1 the CICS installation verification program COBDEMO your session hangs after you continue from the welcome screen. Instead of receiving the automatic breakpoint(ABP) with the verb Add +1 to TASKNUM highlighted  your terminal hangs. The COBDEMO program does work for unconditional breakpoints(UBP).

ACF2 secured environment.

Cause:

ACF2.

A CICS aux trace indicates a NOTAUTH condition when CA InterTest for CICS issues a  START on the breakpoint transaction VTAT. The NOTAUTH condition is caused by ACF2 and this has been reported for ACF2 releases 15.0 and 16.0.

Resolution: 

For ACF2  r 15.0 please apply the following PTF.

If a Resource Check is performed during transaction abend recovery, an incorrect NOTAUTH condition may be raised.

SYMPTOMS:
