Issue/Introduction

Issue: 

A custom application that implements the SiteMinder Policy Mangement API was created to make bulk changes to a policy store.  The application runs fine in a SiteMinder 12.0 environment but sporadically fails in an upgraded environment running SiteMinder 12.52-SP1 and CA Directory 12.0-SP16 as the policy store.  The failure message is:

SMAPI return: [facility=4 severity=3 reason=-100 status=36 message=PolicyLink Invalid Object Id] 

 

 

Environment: 

SiteMinder 12.5x

CA Directory 12.16

 

 

Cause:

- There is an issue in CA Directory that was introduced in version 12.0-SP14, but fixed in 12.0-SP18.

 

 

Resolution/Workaround:

Upgrade CA Directory to 12.0-SP18.
