After patching, Aria Operation Admin and Aria Operation UI login have different versions.

Issue/Introduction

User noticing Admin UI has a higher version than Aria Operation UI after patching.

Environment

Aria Operation 8.x.x

Cause

User may have patched the unintended pak file. For example, CP only patch (VMware Aria Operations – Virtual Appliance upgrade pak – Only CP) has been applied, and Admin UI will be showing a higher patch version than the Aria Operation's UI.

Resolution

User will require to apply a full patch/pak file that is roughly 5 gig in size. The correct name of the pak file is "VMware Aria Operations – Virtual Appliance upgrade pak"
