Issue/Introduction

 Remedy Adapter - Inbound comments fail with null point error

The "comments" field was being added to the payload along with the other fields. Remedy rejected this field and threw an error. 

  1. Set up an automation with Remedy Incidents and Jira
  2. Map the comments field as below:
    1. Form Name: HPD:WorkLog
    2. Comment Body: Detailed Description
    3. Author: <blank>
    4. Created Date: Last Modified Date
    5. Comment Info Type: Work Log Type
    6. Relative Identifier: Incident Number
  3. Save the automation
  4. Write a comment in Jira and trigger the automation

Expected Results: 

  • Comment should sync to Remedy

Actual Results:

  • Null point error
