Issue/Introduction

Problem:

When CSM (Chorus Software Manager) is used to install Endevor web service/Eclipse, you can receive a SMP/E Apply error:

GIM30209E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD CSIQ#03. REQUIRED SYSMODS FAILED OR WERE MISSING.
GIM35916I CONDITIONAL REQUISITE SYSMOD ###### WAS MISSING. SYSMOD ###### CONTAINED THE ++IF STATEMENT.
GIM37001S ** APPLY PROCESSING STOPPED BECAUSE FUNCTION SYSMOD CSIQ#03 FAILED.

This can happen if the Endevor base product has already been installed in the same CSI.

Reason:

This happens because conditional ptfs for the base Endevor install have already been received. The apply check for web services cannot locate them.

Workaround:

Install web services externally to CSM. Use the PAX/ESD method for web services using the same CSI:

1.      Run the ESD UNPAX JCL to un-package the Pax file

2.     Run UNZIPJCL to create the mainframe REL files and SAMPJCL

3.     Customized and ran SCM4RECD  from SAMPJCL to just receive CSIQ#03 (web serviced FMID)

4.      Ordered all current maintenance from support and run jobs to download, unzip and receive all of the maintenance into CSIY

     Resolution:

Install web services the same time you install the base Endevor product if you think you may want web services.

CSM will be able to handle this situation in a future release.
