Issue/Introduction

Issue: 
Using the SharePoint Connection Wizard I am unable to select a Policy Domain that was recently created.  It does not show in the drop down list. I am also unable to edit or delete existing SharePoint connections. The message is "No Existing SharePoint connections!".

 

Environment: 
SharePoint Agent: 12.52-SP1-CR4 (though the issue will occur with other versions).
Policy Server: 12.x

 

Cause:
By default, the Policy Server is configured to only return 100 objects of a particular type (ex. Domains) from the Policy Store.  The default value needs to be increased in order to return all objects of a particular type.

  

Resolution/Workaround:
Increase the registry value for the entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\SiteMinder\CurrentVersion\ObjectStore\MaxObjects

 

The MAXOBJECTS registry key represents the number of Objects and their properties. This setting affects all communications between the AdminUI and the Policy Server.
