Image replication from Bitnami fails when using wildcards

Issue/Introduction

Trying to replicate images from Bitnami Secure Images as outlined in the documentation, Consume Bitnami Secure Images using a Private Harbor Registry.

A replication rule is configured with a wildcard to pull multiple images, ie GCP_PROJECT_ID/REPOSITORY_NAME/photon-5/**

The replication task completes very quickly and states that it is successful but no images are pulled.

 

NOTE: A replication rule for a single image downloads the image successfully, ie contour image GCP_PROJECT_ID/REPOSITORY_NAME/photon-5/contour

Cause

The service account doesn't have the necessary role to use wildcards

Resolution

Please raise a Support request with Broadcom Support Tanzu team to get the service account updated.
