Issue/Introduction

Issue:

The Post Install task, Create Required DB2 Objects, ssid0001, fails with errors BPA0002E and IKJ56246I indicating that file SYSIN is in use.

BPA0002E: UNABLE TO DYNAMICALLY ALLOCATE FILE - RETURN CODE 0000410.
IKJ56246I FILE SYSIN NOT ALLOCATED, FILE IN USE

In the failed Batch Processor output, the following symptoms are also observed:

- message text '*** ERRORS OCCURRED DURING PARMLIB PROCESSING. CORRECT BEFORE RERUNNING.'

- there are no utility messages in the output; messages prefixes PUT, PFU, DSN and so on.

- there are no FREE statements for files SYSIN, PTIMSG and PTIMSG01

Cause:

The problem is as a result of the UTIL Parmlib member missing from the CDBAPARM library.

Resolution:

This Parmlib member is one of the product Parmlib members that should have been created during the Install process. Double check how this CDBAPARM library was created. Was it copied from another environment? The UTIL Parmlib member and any other missing product Parmlib members will need to be created before continuing with the Post Install. Please contact CA Technical Support if you require assistance in resolving the missing members.
